The operations associate performs a variety of administrative and financial tasks for our office. This position will require a physical presence in an office. Excellent communication skills are needed, as this position will be responsible for coordinating complex tasks with a hybrid staff.

The operations associate role is a great starting point for anyone looking to work in the world of political campaigns, or the broader compliance field in general. The operations associate will learn valuable campaign finance-oriented skills through progressive trainings, and will be exposed to the workings of a variety of political organizations, including candidate committees, PACs and Super PACs, non-profits, and more.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist compliance associates with campaign finance work such as tracking and processing contributions, drafting donor correspondence, and filing reports.
• Provide administrative support to the operations manager and compliance associates, including preparing deliveries, coordinating with courier services, and accurately tracking and reporting billables.
• Coordinate client workflow and direct requests to the appropriate staff member.
• Perform daily mail and client pick-ups, sort and track mail and contributions.
• Manage distribution of client materials and fulfill client processes.
• Maintain comprehensive records of mail received and sent, checks processed, and tracks time and expenses based on tasks performed.

Requirements:

• Applicant must hold a degree from a four-year college or equivalent experience.

• Excellent communication skills and professionalism.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

• Proficiency in use of MS Office suite, Outlook, Adobe, and Microsoft Teams.

• Working knowledge of office equipment (printers and scanners).
